Some Lunch Ideas!!
I love packing lunches. Yes, it’s weird but it takes me back to school days and I loved packing my lunch in my new lunch box I got every year or even when I was brown bagging it!
However, there was always the age old question: ” What do I want for lunch?”. Along with the trailing questions of ” Is it healthy?” ” How many calories are in this?” and so on and so forth.
This is why I will help you all out who struggle with what to pack for lunch and it’s also healthy!! And they are all mostly under 500 calories!
I recently bought a Laptop Lunch Box and am currently obsessed with it! It’s so cute and colorful and helps make portion control so easy!! I highly recommend one!!
Above is my very first laptop lunch! -sniff- JK but it has my version of Panera Bread’s Frontega Chicken Panini ( Bagel Thin with baked chicken, red onion, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil toasted, trust me it’s a repeat recipe in my house!), 1 gala apple, blueberries and blood orange slices, and 2 avocado brownie bites.
This one is a turkey taco salad with some lemon slices for my water throughout the day!! It’s ground turkey breast with taco seasoning, roasted bell peppers and sweet potatoes and I use plain Greek yogurt and salsa for my dressing.
You don’t need to be fancy with lunches. This one was a day where I was low on groceries and all I had were lean pockets. So it had 1 lean pocket, blueberries and blood orange slices, leftover risotto, and avocado brownie bites.
BBQ Chicken Salad topped with 2 tbs corn, red onion, and fresh mozzarella. With blueberries and blood orange slices on the side.
1 leftover serving of awesome No Noodle Lasagna, blueberries and blood orange slices, 1 serving Teddy Graham crackers, and 1 100 calorie Chobani yogurt.
This is just a snack to bring with lunch but it tastes so close to a Tropical Smoothie smoothie!!
1⃣ 3 frozen banana chunks
2⃣ 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
3⃣ 4 frozen strawberries
4⃣ 1 packet Truvia
5⃣ 1/2 cup water
6⃣Blend on high!
This is a garlicky steak salad with crispy shallots, goat cheese, walnuts on top of a bed of baby kale! With a side of blueberries!
