Description

This perfectly smoky and sweet spicy pineapple margaritas are the best way to up your grill game this summer! Yes, this is more than your average classic margaritas recipe. Fresh pineapple is SMOKED on the grill to give this cocktail the ultimate smoky flavor that is completely what you are looking for in a smoked cocktail recipe.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of fresh pineapple, smoked
  • 1 cup of mezcal
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 oz orange liqueur
  • 2 tbs honey or agave nectar
  • Chili lime salt (for rim garnish)
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or smoker to 250F. Slice and discard skin of the pineapple. Place pineapple on the grill plates and close lid. Allow to smoke/grill for 25 minutes.
  2. Pour remaining ingredients into a blender.
  3. Take the pineapple off the grill and allow to cool (about 10 minutes)
  4. Add the pineapple and ice to the blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  5. Pour into margarita glasses with the edges garnished with chili lime salt.
