Camping and Family Dinner
This weekend was packed full of fun,friends,and family! We went camping with a couple of friends and it was a blast! A definite much needed mini vacation for all of us! We did all the classic camping stuff: nice long hikes, cooking out in the fire pit, sleeping bags, and four-wheelin’! 😀
We got some sun…mainly because we fell asleep in direct sunlight in our hammock! Ooops! But I have no regrets! It was such a great nap! ( How cute is my hubby???) 🙂
We had some great camp food while we were here! We had some strip steaks and baked potatoes on the grill, for snacks I brought apples, carrots, and hummus! Its totally possible to eat healthy while at camp and to treat yourself too because of how active you will be!
After getting nice and muddy, we slept so well that night! The next day, we left camp and headed for Jake’s mom’s house for dinner and to pick up Max ( who sadly was terribly confused as to why we dropped him off! Don’t worry, he’s forgotten all about it and is sleeping comfortable next to me as I type!).
She made us an awesome dinner! And it was so nice to see Jake’s grandparents as well they are the sweetest couple! <3
We had salad, grilled chicken 2 ways ( jerk and Italian), and these AMAZING smashed potatoes from Pioneer Woman’s recipe! Seriously, the whole tray was pretty much devoured!
Isn’t her table ware so cute?! It’s very sun-shiny!
Don’t those potatoes look amazing??? I will definitely be making these soon!
