And the green smoothie kick is still going strong!
I am actually proud of the amount of containers of spinach I have in my recycling bin right now. That has been one my smaller resolutions. Quit wasting the greens.
I don’t know about you, but I buy lots of greens with the full intention of throwing them in smoothies, sautés, or salads. And I use up like ¾ of it and the rest turns into this green swampy science experiment by the time I need to go grocery shopping again. And I hate wasting it!
So, to kill two birds with one stone this month. I planned out the recipes in advance to use more greens. And guys, this month is all about the Whole30, greens, and healthy food bowls. Yup. Get excited!
When I think of green smoothies, I think of this bright flavorful concoction that instantly boosts my mood and energy.
Well, this is it.
It basically has ALL THE HEALTHY THINGS in a blender.
Green tea- great for waking up in the morning!
Spinach- because GIMME ALL THE GREENS and it’s so so good for you!
Lemon juice- perfect way to get some vitamin C first thing in the AM!
Mango- Alkalizes the whole body, improves eye health, and clears up the skin!
Cayenne Pepper- say what?! This is where the source of the energy is in this smoothie. DON’T LEAVE IT OUT! Cayenne pepper raises your blood temperature which turns ON your metabolism right away! It’s such a great way to start the fat burn without hitting the gym yet!
Coconut oil- for some extra healthy fat to keep you full!
I personally love starting my day with a green smoothie. It wakes me up and fills me up with so many good things that I am instantly in a good mood for making good choices!
Trust me, this energy boosting smoothie will be your new favorite treat to stick to your New Year’s resolutions!
Thank you so much Amanda, I got it. I will be trying this smoothie in place of coffee. I think coffee is not agreeing with my stomach anymore. But need some kind of a boost in the morning. Thanks again
Where is the actual recipe? You don’t mention amounts of the ingredients
Hi Yolanda! Thanks for stopping by! If you take a look at the top of the screen there is a drop down list of the ingredients if you are using your mobile device. If on a desktop it should be on left side of screen 🙂
