Say HEY to your new favorite summer fruit and cheese board with grilled fruit!
The other week I was perusing my blog and noticed the lack of appetizers and knew I needed to fix this problem ASAP!
And this summer needs more cheese boards <-- IMO
I have also been DYING for what feels like forever to make grilled fruit. And since I needed to make a summer cheese board, grilled fruit just seemed like the perfect thing!
Jake and I went to a 20's themed birthday party this past weekend and HAD to share this with everyone. SO glad I did, because it was pretty much devoured. Because summer fun includes lots of wine, friends, and cheese boards.
Can you guys actually believe it's June already?! Which is pretty much the best month because it's my birthday month! 😀
Looking forward to making this cheese board over and over again all summer long to share at BBQs, 4th of July, and heck; I might just eat this as my birthday dinner! Does anyone else LOVE to just eat snacks all day instead of a real meal? Just me? I'm ok with that 🙂
Now, let's chat about this summer cheese board.
And it's basically everything.
Stone fruits, berries, watermelon, and pineapple are exciting to me on a good day. EVEN BETTER when grilled. Grilled fruit is pretty much the best and takes like 5 minutes. SUPER EASY and I wish I had done this sooner!
And this post is not really a true recipe, but more like a how-to on a great summer cheese board with grilled fruit.
I love a cheese board with variety and this one has it to the 9s (whatever that means).
A HUGE assortment of grilled fruits; watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, nectarines, and peaches.
Lots of fresh fruit (plus some veggies); cherries, blackberries, cantaloupe, cucumbers, and heirloom tomatoes
Some snacking options; green olives, nuts, and a little cold cuts
Plus the CHEESE; I used mascarpone cheese with a little honey. Perfect pairings with grilled fruit and a multigrain cracker
There are no "rules" to cheese boarding, use whatever fruit is available, if mozzarella isnt your thing use brie or mascarpone or even cheddar slices would be great here.
Now go make this and don't skimp of the grilled fruit!
Best summer appetizer for all occasions!
