Description
Summer Burger Charcuterie Board - burgers with Tex-Mex flavors and loaded with all the fix-ins ALL IN A SPREAD that's going to be a family and crowd pleasing favorite!
Ingredients
Makes 8 burgers
FOR THE BURGERS
1lb ground beef
1lb ground pork
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp red chili flakes
Juice and Zest of 1 lime
8 slices of cooked bacon
TOPPINGS
Sweet potato fries (bake at 400F for 30 min with 1 tbs oil and salt and pepper)
Pickles
Onions
Tomatoes
Bacon
Cheese
Lettuce
Mayo
Mustard
Ketchup
Instructions
Preheat grill to 300-315F
Mix pork, beef, and spices together in a large bowl
Shape into 8 patties. (see note)
Cook burgers low and slow (about 20 minutes or until desired done-ness). I like a little pink so I usually pull my burgers off around the 140F-145F degree mark.
While the burgers cook, crisp up the bacon, chop the veggies, and assemble the board!
Enjoy! (preferably by a pool!)
Notes
- Key to shaping the patties is to make them into thin disks and press an indent in the center with your thumb. This prevents the burgers from forming into ugly deformed balls on the grill.
