If you want fall, cozy, warm comfort with a double shot of espresso - enter the Maple Leaf Latte.
If you have known me (even the tip of the iceberg) you know I LOVE a latte.
The intoxicating aroma. I love smelling the steaming hot coffee mug before each sip.
And this coffee is reminiscent of a BBW candle. It's almost as if I gave a candle company their scent for fall. It smells SO good.
The PROCESS.
It's pretty darn easy.
Simply start with a drizzle of pure maple syrup at the bottom of your mug of choice. Then a TINY sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
Brew 2 shots of espresso on top. Then pour in foamed oatmilk.
We recently bought a really nice espresso machine and have been having SO much fun experimenting with different coffee beans, milks to froth, and how to tamp and how much espresso per brew.
We have found that a REALLY good bean is a must! We actually use a local coffee company that has been around for over 100 years and 3 generation family-owned! BEST.BEAN.EVER.
We also discovered that oat milk froths really well! So this Maple Leaf Latte is dairy free and only sweetened with a natural sweetener.
Despite doing multiple Whole30s and proper re-introductions, I have come to the conclusion that I have gluten sensitivities as well as dairy! I'm actually not that upset by it as I typically and naturally steer clear of those foods anyways! But you might see that reflected in my future posts. As I am always sharing recipes that I love and EAT regularly!
First thing's first. It's Monday. Coffee is mandatory. Begin your Monday with this Maple Leaf Latte.
Oh! And if you don't have an espresso machine. Use your Nespresso (hit the button twice) or 1 cup of coffee.
This recipe will taste it's best with espresso and frothed oat milk!
