Instant Pot Banana Nut Oatmeal is the perfect consistency of creamy but not soggy, tastes like banana bread, and DONE in 10 minutes.
This recipe has become quite the staple in our house. And it's usually when we have 2 overly ripe bananas laying in the fruit bowl. I toss those in with oats, water, maple syrup, vanilla, and collagen for extra protein!
I love this oatmeal. And that’s saying a lot considering I am NOT
A. A breakfast food person
B. An oatmeal person
Actually as a kid I HATED oatmeal. The kind that came in a brown paper package. It was too sweet and the consistency was like muddy sand. 😖
THIS oatmeal is none of that. I also love this oatmeal as it’s a pantry staple superstar recipe.
Have 2 old very ripe bananas? PERFECT. The more ripe the better.
Have oats, maple syrup, a big container of collagen you bought for New Year New You and don’t know what to do with it?
PERFECT. I GOT YOU.
THE PROCESS.
Smoosh the bananas at the bottom of the instant pot. Stir in all other ingredients. Set for 8 minutes. Go make coffee or take 5 minutes to take care of you.
I usually go upstairs to do my morning skincare regime.
When the IP(Instant Pot) beeps. Do the quick release. Take lid off and stir in the nuts(OPTIONAL).
Serve! I like adding some crunchy banana chips as a topping for added texture.

[…] Pro Tip: Throw ripe to REALLY ripe bananas into a freezer safe bag for smoothies! I do this ALL the time. When I forget to use the bananas wasting away on the counter I will peel, break them in half, and toss in a freezer safe bag! EASY. But if you need an idea on what to make with really ripe bananas here I ALWAYS make this oatmeal. […]
