    Spicy Ginger Margarita

    Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Who says you can’t incorporate superfoods into your weekend cocktail?!

If you’ve been following my stories on IG you know I’ve been on an evolving journey with food, fitness, and mindset changes for years!

I think it’s so fun how my journey is going. The twists and turns. The drops, the hills. The MOUNTAINS. The road blocks. But when I get my break throughs. They are MIND BLOWING.

Lately, instead of approaching nutritious foods as a punishment. I see it as fuel for my microbiome.

Please read Fiber Fueled to find out why it’s SO IMPORTANT to make your 39 TRILLION microbiota (good and bad bacteria) living inside you!

Basically when they are happy and fed a diverse amount of plants... you feel AMAZING. And weight falls off like nothing. It’s incredible. I’ve also noticed my anxiety has been so much more manageable. I’ve actually suffered pretty bad anxiety my whole life. I have good days and bad days... but eating whole REAL foods makes me feel so much better!

Any who, I also love a cocktail to kick off the weekend.

I also love finding ways to make the things I love but in a much healthier way.

This is my variation of a spiced ginger Marg.

      Ginger -

"Ginger reduces inflammation and also improves intestinal function," says Dr. Bulsiewicz. Ginger has long been used to reduce gas and bloating because is has phenolic compounds which are known to relieve irritation in the GI tract. Dr. Bulsiewicz says it's also often used to treat nausea and morning sickness associated with pregnancy, too." - Dr. Bulsiewicz

Jalapeños - Contains capsicum which boosts your metabolism which promotes FAT BURN = you consume less calories NATURALLY because your gut produces leptin (the hormone that tells your brain "Hey. IM FULL"

      Lime juice -

Limes are high in vitamin C and antioxidants — both of which may offer health benefits. Eating limes or drinking the juice may improve immunity, reduce heart disease risk factors, prevent kidney stones, aid iron absorption, and promote healthy skin- source here

      Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

Such a fun take on a classic using natural sugars and enhanced with good-for-you ingredients! It's a touch of sweet a bit of spicy and a salty ginger rim for a delicious stay at home cocktail. This marg is easy to create, uses minimal ingredients, and SO good!
