    Skinny Strawberry Margaritas ๐Ÿ“

    Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Summer means summer sips and my new favorite summer sip are these Skinny Strawberry Margaritas! This pitcher style margarita recipe is made from only clean ingredients as in frozen strawberries, honey, lime juice, a splash of orange juice (instead of orange liquor), and a strawberry salt rim that make this marg a must!

I don't know about you but I LOVE an occasional frozen margarita. Especially after a LONG week at work! It helps to wind down, sit out side with a frozen marg, and defeat your husband at battleship. (It's been our thing recently - SO FUN!)

I do not have many cocktail recipes on the blog, but with summer approaching quickly I wanted to have at least another clean or "skinny" margarita recipe on the blog!

Ingredients for Frozen Skinny Strawberry Margaritas

Ingredients to make skinny strawberry margaritas
    • Frozen Strawberries
    • Tequila (I prefer blanco, but only had aged on hand for this post - both are delicious though!)
    • Lime Juice - always use fresh limes instead of the kind from the bottle. Just trust me. It makes a HUGE difference!
    • Orange juice - use OJ that has no extra ingredients in there. Should be just oranges.
    • Honey - optional
    • Course salt or margarita salt

How to make from scratch Skinny Strawberry Margaritas

Blend: In a high speed blender, add frozen strawberries, lime juice, OJ, honey, and tequila. Blend on high until smooth. Should resemble the most delicious slushie you have ever seen

Frozen Skinny Strawberry Margs are the BEST ๐Ÿ“

Prep your glasses! I was going with the whole strawberry idea with coating the rim of my glasses with crushed freeze dried strawberries + course salt. Yall. This sweet/salty combo is a MUST for these strawberry margaritas. YUM.

PRO TIP for these margs: Don't add extra ice! The frozen strawberries are enough on their own to get these strawberry margaritas nice and frozen without watering them down!

    Prep Ahead Instructions

Since there is alcohol involved here you can prep this strawberry margarita mix you can prep these ahead of time and store in the freezer. It will maintain it's slushy-ness when you want it for the weekend!

    Description

Summer means summer sips and my new favorite summer sip are these Skinny Strawberry Margaritas! This pitcher style margarita recipe is made from only clean ingredients as in frozen strawberries, honey, lime juice, a splash of orange juice (instead of orange liquor), and a strawberry salt rim that make this marg a must!ย

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 lb frozen strawberries
    • 1 cup of tequila
    • ยฝ cup fresh lime juice (about 5-6 limes)ย
    • ยผ cup fresh orange juice

    Strawberry-Salt Rim

    • ยผ cup of freeze dried strawberries, crushed
    • 2-3 tbs of margarita saltย

    Instructions

    1. In a high speed blender, add the strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and honey. Blend on high until smooth.ย
    2. Prep the glasses by coating the rims with lime juice (just use 1 lime wedge to coat with), at an angle dip and spin each glass in the strawberry-salt mix.ย
    3. Serve and Sip!ย

    Notes

You can make these margs ahead of time and freeze for later! Just store in a freezer safe container. They should never completely freeze due to the alcohol content!ย
