    Honey Pistachio Latte

    Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Creamy Honey Pistachio Latte - a delicious homemade version of the seattle-based coffee giant (Starbuck's) morning treat! Steaming hot, rich espresso, barely sweet (with that natural sweetener - honey), and warmly spiced frothed pistachio milk.
The Pistachio Milk Latte has been on the menu not only at Starbuck's but I have seen it trend for the last couple of years and ever since making this fun pale green beverage at home, I am OBSESSED. It's a match made in Heaven: Espresso Meets the Rich Flavor of Roasted Pistachios. Honestly, it's dreamy and makes me think of spring and lightness but it also has a decadent flare without it having all the syrups and junk the coffee shop made version has. It needed to be here on my food blog along with my honey oat latte, maple leaf latte, and the dairy free peppermint mocha!

    The Perfect Pistachio Latte

Now, you may be thinking "pistachios in my coffee? That sounds nuts!" But trust us when we say that this drink is nothing short of divine. The rich, velvety espresso pairs perfectly with the subtle sweetness of the honey blended pistachio milk (not as sweet as the pistachio syrup found in the coffee chain variety) to create a flavor explosion in your mouth. But let's not forget about the creamy milk (move over oat beverage) that ties it all together. It's like a warm hug from your barista (minus the awkward side hug). And for those who prefer their lattes on the cooler side, fear not - this baby makes for an excellent iced latte as well.

So if you're looking to switch up your coffee game and add a little bit of sass to your sip, give the Pistachio Latte a try. Your taste buds will thank you (and so will we). It's the cozy beverage that has spring vibes. 🌱

    What You Will Need

    • Freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
    • Pistachio milk - you can buy it at the store or here or if you have a Thrive Market account (the Tache brand is really good!)
    • Vanilla extract - just a dash here!
    • Pinch of salt
    • Honey - a touch of natural sweetness that I think compliments the nutty flavor so well!
    • Real pistachios - I like to add a few to the top for garnish and it adds a little salt and sweet vibes that is SO GOOD.

How To Make A Honey Pistachio Latte

I thought long and hard on how to make this latte. I wanted the BARE MINIMUM effort but the MAXIMUM tasty results. This effort was well worth it. You heat up the milk, honey, salt mixture in the microwave, then SHAKE IT like a polaroid, pour over top of espresso. DONE. New bevvy that will please coffee fans everywhere.

First step is to brew the espresso or a strong cup of coffee.

Next, is to pour the milk, honey, salt, and vanilla into a glass jar for about a minute.

Screw the lid on (use a kitchen towel as the metal lid will get HOT), then SHAKE IT vigorously.

But! If you have a hand held frother or a steam wand (those are great alternate methods to froth your lattes!) See below for a picture of all 3 methods that we shot for this recipe!

Pour the frothy pistachio milk mixture over top and enjoy this delicious drink.
